Contractor: Shepherd Construction M&E Contractor: The Dodd Group, Telford Distributor: Ashworth, Wednesfield Specification: Range of traditional Hattersley Valves and DPCVs

Hattersley have supplied a wide range of valves including Differential Pressure Control Valves for installation in the new Bert Williams Leisure Centre, Bilston. The purpose built centre, that opened to the general public on 3rd December 2011, has replaced the ageing Bilston Leisure Centre. The local community will benefit from enhanced facilities including a 25m long swimming pool, dance & fitness studios, gym, squash courts and a sports hall which can be used for badminton, basketball, netball, volleyball and football.

The valves help control the flow of water for heating, ventilation and air conditioning throughout the 5,600m² building, which will require heated air in the swimming pool area at the same time as air conditioning in the gym and fitness suites. DPCVs are ideal for variable flow systems; they maintain a consistent performance and enhance efficiency.
