2010 will see the completion of a new water supply pipe from the natural water sources in the Slivo Pole to 83 settlements in the Bulgarian city of Ruse. V & K (Water Supply and Sewerage) have embarked on the replacement of 21km long, old, asbestos-cement pipe with new GRP water mains. Viking Johnson is supplying almost 70 PN10 and PN16 stepped couplings which link the GRP mains to ductile iron pipes of varying diameters. Selected for their 50 year service life and ease and speed of installation, they are specifically designed to join pipes of disparate materials and sizes, and to accommodate expansion and contraction.
